Winter morning

The morning frost covers the windows like curtains ,
the cold is biting at my toes as I jump out of my warm bed and onto the cold carpet.
The sun beams through the water drops on the window and brightens up the room with cold light.
I sneeze over and over but can’t stop, I wrap myself into my blanket and drag myself to the lounge.
I grab some toast and  sit myself by the warm fire and bring my frozen hands to warmth.
The fog starts to lift from the ground like a hot air balloon.
The day starts to gets slightly warmer, it's warm enough to go enjoy the fresh winter morning air.

Elephant lives with bullet in head

Q. Explain the most interesting thing you learned from the reading and why it stood out for you. Be specific and reference the text.
  1. For me the most interesting thing was that the bullet stayed in his head for six weeks and still lived, this stood out for me because the poachers just left the elephant like that and I was surprised that he didn't die of blood loss .
Q.What is the main idea of the text? In other words what is the passage mostly about?
  1. The main point of the text is that the the bullet was in his head for six weeks and still lived. The elephant is all right but it could have died if the bullet went deeper.

Canada Sells Australia and New Zealand Air to china

Lately China has had one of the worst pollution  in the world, it is so bad that they have to wear masks to go outside. In canada a company has come up with an idea to bottle air from Australia and New Zealand and sell to China for $20 a can. They have been flying off the shelfs and more than 14000 cans are brought a day.

People are also going to the Rocky mountains of New Zealand and catching fresh air and putting them in a jar then selling them online for more than $80 to people in China. The Canadian company has different types of air for you to choose from, like "Gold Coast Air" , "Tasmana Air" , "Mountain Air"  , "Beach Air"  and much much more.

The grey thick cloud of polluted air has caused over 4000 people die a day. People are buying this are but I don't think you should pay to live and to pay for the air that you breath.

IE Reflection

What was the most important thing you learned?
The most important thing I learned was knowing and understanding that our bee’s play a big part of our world and are disappearing because of us.

What changes did you make along the way?

I made a lot of changes on my creation ,at first I was going to make a paper mache model of a bee then I changed it to a bee hotel, that's like a hotel for bees and it has all the things bees like, and then I decided to make a bee hive/box.

What was your favourite thing about this project?
I loved learning everything about this project because it was something that I was interested but didn’t know much about, so it was really fun to learn and create my project.

What was the toughest part?  How could you improve your this the next time?
The toughest part was figuring out what information the the right information. There are so many different site with different information and opinions and so you never know what's true and what's not.

What are your next steps or new ideas for next time?
When I finished presenting it was time for questions but there was one question that I could not answer because I didn’t think of it so my next step is to answer this..
Are there any bees that are native to New Zealand?
And I've decided to add on a new slide about native bee.

Matariki

After reading the article I learnt the names of the seven sisters, Matariki Tupu-a-nuku, Tupu-a-rangi, Waitī, Waitā, Waipuna-a-rangi and Ururangi.
I also learnt that Matariki isn't a sister she is the mother of the six daughters and she guides them to their place in the sky.
Matariki is also the name of the Maori new year.

Bus Drives over Traffic
Do you hate getting stuck in traffic, waiting a hole minuet to dive then 2 minuets later there's another traffic jam. What if I say you could skip the traffic jam without a fuss. Well now there is. A compony in Beijing has created a bus that can drive over mega traffic jams. The bus is called Transit Explore Bus or TEB, it can hold up to 1,200 at a time and uses solar power.

I wonder how much it costs to go on a bus that can cut through traffic? I think that this is a grate idea because if you are running late for something you can hop on this bus and hopefuly be on time. I hope this bus comes to New Zealand soon.

My Holiday

last week me and my family went away for the week to our batch in Mokau. There were a few cold mornings but the afternoons were nice and warm. At the back of the batch there was an estry which is a sort of like a stream going into the ocean, and then there was the great big ocean heading into the Tasman sea right in front of us. Me and my family picked up rocks and shells and spelt our names with them. We had a picnic at the estry and built a fire to roast our marshmallows for our smores, and sizzled our sausages for our bread. We watched the sun go down and played in the sand. I built a hut under a tree and washed up driftwood. When the tide went out me , Mum and my sister Jol went for a walk on the big empty muddy sand, we found a mysterious cave that would be filled up when the tide is in. We splashed in the waves, drew pictures in the sand and collected shells, it was a great week.
