Term 1 In Marama 2016

This term has already been great for so many reasons. I have achieved many goals and hold a lot of responsibility's in Marama.

Not only have I achieved this goal I have gone the extra mile by doing 12 more blog post then what was expected, all up I have 32 blog post completed.
 I am proud to say that I have achieved completing my Target amount of pages for my AWS, I am ahead by four pages. Last year I would freak out because I didn't finish my AWS and so this year I have improved by being a head.

I am one of the leaders for the mentoring team with Macy and Osten. Our job is to help run Friday workshops for Moana and so that we can teach kids what we have learnt in fun ways.
I cant wait for next term, to push myself and to set new goals and achieve them.

As I leap in the air, I trail behind the ball as I  start to fall.

Wind gushes past my ears as a set of eyes glance at me from behind.

Legs tucked in ready to hit the green grass, and ready for the ball to be mine.

   

Rad rhythm

For the past couple of weeks Marama have been doing a music program called Rad Rhythm. We Each get a bin and Some drum sticks and we learn from the rad rhythm video how to follow and makes beats and music. I learnt some really cool things from this program. I just thought that bins where used for rubbish but you can use them for much much more.

Falling from A Tree

I see a tree, just standing on it own in the breezy field , It looks so peaceful and calm.I erg myself towards it and grip the bark.Little bits of moss stick to my hands as I pull myself off the Wet cold grass .My knees scrape against the bark as I struggle to get up.I dig my foot into the crease of the tree and crash into cobwebs.I crawl like a spider up the brunches.

I find myself on a stable Branch looking out at everything I see before me, a gush of wind hits my face and the breeze flows within my hair. I was enchanted by the view and try to climb higher, but as I go higher the branch becomes thinner. I walk up the thin branch in a straight line only to find myself going down as I hear a scary screeching snap.

My heart jumps as I go down with the branch.

Not thinking of anything as I hit the ground I land on the hard stick with a sudden thump and crunch. My back aches with pain as I’m rolling in the cold wet grass with bits of moss and twigs tangles in my hair.I pull myself from the ground and onto my feet, the sudden pain is suddenly gone. I stare back up at the tree and I feel like it's staring right back at me. Something about that tree just makes me want to climb it again...

Current Events

A group of students a missing a toy dog called Sam after the launched him into space. Sam was part of a class project to see what happened if they launched a toy dog into space. The attached a Go Pro and a tracker and a helium balloon to see what he sees and so they know where he is.

But lately Sam has gone missing. The space craft, Go Pro and tracker came crashing down but Sam was know where to be found. Sam has been missing in space for a week now and the students are trying to get the word out to help find Sam. #FindSam

Goal Reflection

I can make positive choices that are right for my own learning.

This week I have made the right choice for my learning because I sat in the right place at the right time to finish my IE and now I'm almost finished with it.

I have achieved this goal by being ready and organised for my learning.

I also made the right choice by reading the rest of my book rather then playing a game with my friends, and now I have finished that book.

Workshop Friday

On Friday we were in our home rooms ready to start our work shops for the day.First up Incredible mind had a catapult challenge. We had to get into groups of 4 and come up with an idea that would launch our little army man to safety.
Our supplies where..

• A spoon
• 25 Popsicle sticks
• 10 rubber bands
• A toy army man 
• Team work

We were ready to launch... Our team came first with a total points of 32, It was fun to work together and create something that worked because of our corporation

Next up we had Quizzes, the quizzes was one of my favourite because we had to really think together and the questions were really interesting.In the end our team came first, It was really fun.

Last but not least we had news paper art. For that we had to search up an animal or insect, then we got a variety of sheets of news paper to cut out the shape of our animal. We used different articles of the news paper to make the details and textures. I made a duck for my animal.
The who day was really fun and different, I loved it.
