Yesterday me and my learning team made fry bread with Mrs Heaven to celebrate Maori language week. Fry Bread is a traditional Maori food also known as Maori Bread. It has relay easy ingredients to get a hold of and it goes a long way.
What you will need to make Fry Bread:
- 1 Cup Flour
- 1 Teaspoon Salt
- 1 Cup Warm Water
- 1 Teaspoon sugar
- 1 Teaspoon Yeast
First Mix the flower and salt together in a bowl, in a different bowl mix the warm water and sugar together until sugar is dissolved, then sprinkle yeast over the sugar water. Pour the water mix into the flour mix and then stir until it turns into dough. Add extra flour if needed. Softly need the dough until combined. Leave the dough for 5-10 minuets while you wash your dishes. After that Place dough onto a floured bored and gently press down with your knuckles then cut into 4-6 peace. Fry them in an oiled pan until golden brown on each side. Enjoy :)
